Peregians' Cafe is a busy all-day breakfast and lunch spot in the heart of Peregian Springs, with a handful of baked goods made fresh on site. We're looking for a Casual Chef to join our kitchen and work alongside our Cafe Chef, keeping service rapid, consistent and well-loved by our regulars.
THE ROLE
- Casual position, approximately 30 hours per week
- Extra shifts available during busy holiday periods
- Reports to and supports our Cafe Chef
- Hands-on role across breakfast and lunch service in a genuinely busy kitchen
YOUR WEEKLY SCHEDULE
- Monday: full day
- Thursday: 2pm - 6pm
- Friday: 2pm - 6pm
- Saturday: full day
- No evenings, no Sundays and no public holidays - this roster stays the same all year round
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen
- A Commercial Cookery qualification (Certificate III or equivalent)
- A steady head during a busy service and a genuine team-first attitude
- Pride in consistency - our regulars notice when a plate isn't quite right
