ABOUT US

Renew Multicultural Church is on about seeing all nations, all ages in Parramatta and beyond renewed by Jesus to the glory of God. We are well into the journey of becoming a Recognised Church in the Sydney Anglican Diocese. After 5 years of gospel partnership with MBM Rooty Hill, we have mutually agreed that this is what’s best for the gospel.

Parramatta is the geographic centre of Sydney that is undergoing rapid urban transformation. Within a 10 minute drive from our Sunday venue, there is a population of 260,000 (and growing!) people who have not yet been renewed by Jesus! Our hearts desire is to play our part in seeing more people honouring Jesus than a packed out Commbank Stadium next door to where we meet on Sundays.

This is an exciting time to join and be involved in the shaping of the future direction of our church. We are prayerfully considering launching an evening service next year to reach more people.

We’re a church that is prepared to do whatever it takes to see the lost saved, and the saved matured because at the end of the day, Jesus is worth it.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a theologically trained, suitably qualified Pastor to join our ministry team as we make this transition. You will be passionate about doing whatever it takes to see Jesus’ church grow in depth and in number. You will be open to proposing new ideas, navigating change and offering fresh perspectives together as a team.

Main Responsibilities (subject to change depending on the person’s experience and passions)

- Preach God’s Word clearly and engagingly through expository teaching (on Sunday gatherings and Friday Youth)
- Lead two of the following portfolios under our team pastoring model (Loving God, On Mission,



Deep in the Word or Serving Others). This would involve casting and celebrating vision, working through teams to achieve outcomes associated with each department.
- Assist in the raising and equipping of team members, leaders (including apprentices and student ministers).

General

- Work collaboratively with ministry leaders to ensure alignment across our church’s vision, rhythms, and ministries.
- Provide input and hands-on support across ministry areas as needed, serving as a flexible and proactive member of the pastoral team.
- Assist in the discipleship of men to be leaders.
- Conduct weddings and funerals as necessary.

ABOUT YOU

This is an opportunity for someone who meets the qualifications for leadership outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1–7, Titus 1:5–9 and 1 Peter 5:1-3

You must possess a solid Christian character and convictions (reformed, evangelical, complementarian). You should have a servant heart, be teachable, able to navigate change, and be able to work well within a team and be open to feedback.

We are looking for a leader who has a proven track record in discipling others in God’s Word, relates sensitively across different ethnicities and ages; who can think strategically, cast vision and is a self-starter. Ideally, you’ll also have demonstrated fruitfulness in raising and leading teams.

Salary will be commensurate with experience per Sydney Anglican Remuneration guidelines
