We're looking for a proactive, hands-on Mechanical Trade Assistant to help keep our operations running smoothly in our Swanbank workshop. About the Role

In this role, you'll support our mechanics and fabricators with day-to-day maintenance activities, helping ensure our fleet and equipment remain protected, reliable, and ready for operation. This is a fast-paced workshop environment where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist qualified tradespeople with mechanical and fabrication tasks
- Carry out basic servicing, maintenance, and small engine repairs
- Support stores operations, including ordering, receiving, and picking parts
- Operate a range of vehicles and machinery, including manual and automatic vehicles
- Contribute to workshop organisation, housekeeping, and safety compliance

What You'll Bring

Mandatory Requirements





- Current and valid Driver's Licence
- Experience operating both manual and automatic vehicles
- Experience in automotive mechanical, fabrication, maintenance, or a similar hands-on trade environment

Highly Desirable

- MR Driver's Licence (or willingness to obtain)
- Forklift Licence (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience working in a stores or parts environment
- Small engine repair and maintenance experience
