About the Opportunity

At PMHC, every employee plays a part in achieving positive outcomes for our community. We are seeking an experienced Education Officer to join our education team on a temporary contract until 1 October 2027.

This role leads the delivery of Council's Road Safety Program in partnership with Transport for NSW, coordinating education and behaviour change initiatives that help create safer roads for our community. In addition to leading road safety projects, the role supports the delivery of a broad range of community education programs across Council priorities, including water conservation, waste management, environmental sustainability, wildlife conservation and other community-focused initiatives.

The Education team works across Council functions and services to support positive community behaviours through education and behaviour change initiatives. This includes developing and delivering campaigns, workshops, tours, events, school programs, digital content and community resources that help residents understand issues, build skills, overcome barriers, and take practical action.

Lead the delivery of Council's Road Safety Program in partnership with Transport for NSW, planning and implementing education and behaviour change initiatives that improve road safety outcomes across the local government area.

- Work with internal Council stakeholders to identify needs and develop initiatives that support Council priorities and strategic objectives.
- Use behavioural science, community-based social marketing and other behaviour change approaches to design, deliver and evaluate education campaigns and programs.
- Plan and deliver a range of activities including events, workshops, school programs, pop-up stalls, presentations, tours and community education experiences.
- Support team members in the delivery initiatives across a range of portfolios, including waste, water conservation, environmental sustainability, wildlife conservation and other community priorities.
- Develop engaging educational resources and content for digital, print and face-to-face delivery.
- Work collaboratively with communications, design and operational teams to develop campaign messaging, resources and promotional materials.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with community groups, schools, government agencies and other stakeholders.




- Prepare project plans, funding acquittals, evaluation reports and program performance summaries.
- Prepare, transport, set up and pack down equipment and resources required for community education programs and events.

Within this role, you will need to have the ability to work flexible schedule to meet the needs of the community and have or be willing to obtain a paid working with children check.

Remuneration and Benefits

Employment Type: Full time, Temporary contract - 35 hours per week until 1 October 2027.

Salary (exclusive of super): In the range of $90,760 to $101,588 depending on skills and experience plus 12% superannuation
