Remuneration package valued at up to $156,253.00. Base salary ranges from $90,177.00 to $137,861.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Base salary rates above the minimum are available depending on experience.

Position Information
Mount Brown Public School is vibrant medium sized school of approximately 350 students, including 41 Aboriginal students, located in the southern Illawarra region of NSW. The school maintains strong relationships with students, parents, caregivers and the wider community who work together to achieve excellence.
Mount Brown Public School provides a multitude of extracurricular opportunities in the performing arts and sport, and maintains high expectations of academic achievement. The school promotes the values of team work, learning and pride in oneself and their school. There is a strong literacy and numeracy focus, and a commitment to authentic Aboriginal Education for all students. School staff work collaboratively to plan, deliver and evaluate teaching and learning to ensure best practice is achieved in all areas of curriculum delivery.
Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach K-6 and approval to teach library or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.
- Outstanding ability to promote and manage a student-centred library that functions as a dynamic learning hub to engage, inspire and extend all learners to support curriculum implementation K-6.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills with the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to enhance school culture and build authentic relationships across the school community.
- Knowledge and understanding of culturally sensitive and inclusive teaching practices that foster student engagement and supports successful learning outcomes for all students, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching chance.
Special Notes
This is a permanent part-time position of 4 days per week, 0.8FTE (full time equivalent).
If applicable,
engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education which must be completed within 24 months.
Applicants are to include details of their WWCC clearance number as part of this application.
