Kitchen Hand / Cook – Montsalvat Café

We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Hand / Cook to join our team at Montsalvat Café.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is confident working in a commercial kitchen and enjoys being part of a busy, team-focused environment.

Key responsibilities include:

- Preparing and cooking food in accordance with our café menu and recipes
- Assisting with the day-to-day operation of the commercial kitchen
- Working alongside another Kitchen Hand and supporting the wider café team
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and well-stocked
- Working efficiently in a quick-paced environment while remaining calm and organised
- Following food safety and workplace health and safety procedures
- Using initiative to identify and solve problems as they arise

About you:





- Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen is essential
- Experience in a Kitchen Hand / Cook role is highly desirable
- Able to work efficiently under pressure without compromising quality
- A positive can-do attitude and willingness to get involved
- Reliable, punctual and well organised
- Able to work independently while also being a strong team player
- Good communication skills and a practical, problem-solving approach

Pay: $30.00 – $47.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 15.0 per week
