Casual Chef – La Trattoria

The Fraternity Club is one of the Illawarra’s most iconic hospitality venues, offering a diverse and vibrant dining experience across multiple outlets.

With our busiest season approaching, we are looking for passionate and enthusiastic Casual Chefs to join our kitchen team at La Trattoria, our award-winning 350 seat bistro.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Prepare meals on various stations in the kitchen including grill, pans and pass, ensuring quality and consistency across all products
- Assist with food preparation, service and cleaning during busy service periods
- Comply with WHS regulations, HACCP processes, and procedures regarding food safety
- Inspect and maintain supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality
- Opportunities to work in other kitchens within the club to expand skills and knowledge

Skills and Experience

- Previous experience in a busy kitchen
- Ability to work efficiently and multi-task during service
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Reliable,



positive and team-focused attitude
- Relevant cookery qualifications (Cert III or equivalent) highly regarded
- Experience with Mediterranean, Italian, modern Australian or wood-fired pizza is advantageous
- Flexibility to work across a range of shifts - availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays is essential
