Experienced Waitstaff / Front of House

We are looking for an experienced Waitstaff / Front of House team member to join our busy café in Maroubra.

This is a hands-on floor position in a fast-paced, high-volume café. We are looking for someone who is confident managing a section, provides excellent customer service and can work efficiently during busy breakfast and lunch services.

Hours & Availability

- Shifts generally start from 6:00am
- Finish times are approximately 3:30pm–5:00pm, depending on weekday or weekend trade
- Weekend availability is essential for candidates wanting more regular shifts and hours
- Applicants with flexible availability across weekdays and weekends will be given preference

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

- Greeting and seating customers
- Taking food and beverage orders accurately
- Managing your own section and multiple tables
- Using the POS system and processing payments
- Running food and drinks
- Clearing and resetting tables efficiently
- Checking on customers and providing attentive table service
- Communicating closely with the kitchen, baristas and other floor staff
- Maintaining a clean and organised dining area
- Assisting with opening and closing duties
- Helping the team maintain smooth and efficient service during busy periods

The ideal candidate will:

- Have previous café or restaurant floor experience
- Be confident managing a section independently
- Have excellent customer service and communication skills
- Be fast, organised and able to multitask
- Remain calm and professional under pressure
- Be reliable, punctual and well presented
- Be comfortable with 6:00am starts
- Work well as part of a team
- Have a positive and proactive attitude
- Have strong availability, particularly on weekends

Experience working in a busy, high-volume café is highly regarded.
