ABURI is a new Japanese restaurant in Hawthorn East, specialising in hot Japanese rice bowls and flame-seared dishes.

We are looking for reliable and motivated Kitchen Staff to join our team. Casual and part-time positions are available.

Extensive kitchen experience is not required. Some experience is helpful, but we are happy to train the right person. Our kitchen operates with clear recipes, preparation systems and SOPs, so we are looking for people who are willing to learn, follow the system and work well as part of a team.

What You’ll Do

* Basic food preparation and mise en place

* Prepare ingredients according to recipes and SOPs

* Assist with cooking, plating and takeaway orders

* Follow portioning and presentation standards

* Keep the kitchen clean, organised and food-safe

* Assist with stock preparation and daily kitchen duties

* Help other sections of the restaurant when required

What We’re Looking For

* Kitchen experience is preferred but not essential





* Japanese restaurant experience is a bonus, but not required

* Beginners with a good attitude are welcome to apply

* Reliable, punctual and willing to learn

* Able to follow instructions and work within a system

* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

* Good teamwork and communication

* Available for weekday and/or weekend shifts

* Valid working rights in Australia

Pay: $32.00 – $38.00 per hour
