Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Mental Health Nurse to join our mid-senior team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for registered nurses with 1–10 years of relevant experience who are passionate about community mental health, recovery-oriented practice, and delivering patient-centered care across diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive mental health nursing assessments, care planning, and follow-up for clients in community settings.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions, risk assessments, crisis support, and mental state examinations.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, psychologists, GPs, and allied health professionals to coordinate care.
- Support clients in recovery-focused goal setting, psychoeducation, medication management liaison, and relapse prevention strategies.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, contribute to quality improvement activities, and adhere to clinical governance and confidentiality standards.




- Engage with families and carers, provide practical support, and facilitate referrals to community resources and support networks.
- Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated mental health nursing experience ranging from 1 to 10 years; mid-senior level clinical experience preferred.
- Strong clinical reasoning and risk assessment skills, with experience in community-based mental health care.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and to engage compassionately with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and time-management skills.
