Located about 1 hour from Townsville this is the largest of the communities situated in the Burdekin River Delta. Airlie Beach and the Whitsundays are 2 hours drive to the south. The population is approximately 19,000 and is supported primarily by the sugar and vegetable growing, agriculture and grazing industries. Fishing is possibly the single most popular pastime.

You will join a team of 2 GPs and experienced practice nurses. Visiting allied health services are available. Currently the services provided at the practice include:

- Robust verbal and written communication skills
