Michelle Barratt Psychology & Administration Services (MBP) is seeking experienced Independent Allied Health Practitioners - Psychologists, Clinical Registrars, and Clinical Psychologists to support their business/clientele in Toowong, QLD.

MBP is a respected administration support service dedicated to providing comprehensive practice management and administrative backing to independent mental health practitioners across Brisbane.

MBP maintains a high-level digital presence through a modern website that generates substantial engagement. We receive a consistent volume of referrals from a broad network of medical professionals, including GPs and psychiatrists, who trust in the clinical excellence of the independent practitioners we support. Key Responsibilities

MBP can support Independent Psychologists who choose to work independently and wish to:

Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations with clients.

Deliver evidence-based individual/couple, child-adolescent, and couple therapy therapy using contemporary psychological interventions.

Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on evidence based practice

Who wish to practice be supported with highly professional administrative practices with their clients

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including General Practitioners and specialists, to ensure coordinated care.

Provide crisis intervention and support when required.

Stay current with contemporary psychological research and best practice methodologies.

Adhere to all ethical guidelines, professional codes of conduct, and legal requirements governing psychological practice.

Practice within an environment that is skilled, highly ethical, supportive and well maintained.

Instill confidence in your service delivery so that clients recognise they are receiving high-quality professional care.

MBP can support Independent Psychologists who have:

Independent Allied Health Practitioners must have AHPRA/their appropriate governing body registration.

For Clinical Registrars: Currently undertaking or recently completed a Masters Degree

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with the capacity to build strong therapeutic relationships with all Independent practitioners clients

Ability to work autonomously whilst collaborating effectively with colleagues.

Commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice.

Working knowledge of mental health legislation, ethical guidelines, and professional standards.

A high level of experience with diverse populations as well as

Understanding the needs of clients who present with trauma, grief, mental illness, or relationship issues.

Our Office Space

As an Independent contractor utilising our administrative support services ,you will have full access to our premium, modern, beautifully appointed physical office location in Toowong; designed to feel both professional and welcoming for clients.

The Toowong Clinic (Benson House) is located in the heart of Brisbane's inner-west at Suite 37, Level 1, Benson House (2 Benson Street). Our flagship space is seamlessly accessible via a direct pedestrian bridge linking Level 1 of the Toowong Village Shopping Centre (which includes 3 hours of free parking) straight to our building for our clients. Clients often report how convenient it is to access their psychological support due to the office being positioned so close to a new and modern shopping centre that offers parking, bus and a train line 2 minutes walk from the Practice.

We currently have rooms available for independent practitioners on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Independent Room Rental Option

For practitioners who already manage their own administration completely independently, we also offer straight room rental options without our administrative support. This gives you access to our premium physical space and central location while you continue to manage your own bookings and billings.
