Valley View Medical Lithgow is a new general practice committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred healthcare in a welcoming and supportive environment. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join our team on either a full-time or part time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in establishing a new practice and play an integral role in supporting both our patients and clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care and support to patients within the practice.
- Assist GPs with clinical procedures and patient assessments.
- Conduct health assessments, care plans, health checks, and chronic disease management activities.
- Administer vaccinations and maintain cold chain management protocols.
- Perform wound care, ECGs, spirometry, and other clinical nursing duties as required.
- Support infection prevention and control processes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and support RACGP Accreditation requirements.
- Manage clinical stock, equipment maintenance, and treatment room organisation.
- Promote preventative health initiatives and patient education.
What We're Looking For
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
- 5+ years proven experience working in General Practice.
- Experience with Chronic Disease Management, Health Assessments, Immunisations, and Care Plans.
- Knowledge of Medicare item numbers and Practice Incentive Program (PIP) activities desirable.
- Experience using Medical Director or similar will be highly regarded.
- Understanding of RACGP Accreditation standards and quality improvement activities.
- Current immunisation certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- A compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
- Current CPR certificate and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
