We are seeking an experienced Dentist to join Gawler and Districts Dental Care on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality dental care to our diverse patient population in Gawler. As a Dentist, you will play a vital role in our practice, providing comprehensive dental services whilst maintaining our commitment to patient-centred care and clinical excellence. This role offers a Thursday position in a very busy practice with full books .
Key responsibilities
Diagnosing and treating dental conditions including cavities, gum disease, and other oral health issues
Performing restorative procedures such as fillings, crowns, bridges and root canal treatments
Conducting routine dental examinations and providing preventative care advice to patients
Taking and interpreting dental radiographs and other diagnostic imaging as required
Developing individualised treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and circumstances
Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with regulatory requirements
Communicating effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options and outcomes
Adhering to all infection control protocols and maintaining a safe clinical environment
Contributing to a collaborative practice culture and supporting the dental team
What we're looking for
A current and valid dental degree from an accredited institution recognised in Australia
Current registration with the Dental Board of Australia as a practising dentist
A commitment to staying current with contemporary dental practices and continuing professional development
Demonstrated clinical competence across general dental procedures and patient management
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients
Excellent organisational and time management abilities to ensure efficient patient care
A patient-centred approach with a commitment to delivering compassionate care
Experience working as a dentist is advantageous, hygienist considered
Knowledge of dental practice management software D4W and digital systems
