Kid Speak Speech and Occupational therapy has been part of the community for 8 years supporting kids and families to feel included, supported and to have fun! We are really excited to continue to grow our Occupational Therapy team and are looking for someone who is passionate about what they do and has a deep desire to make a difference.
Our Occupational Therapists provide evidence based interventions to children presenting with delays and disabilities relating to social, play, executive function, independent living, fine and gross motor, sensory and emotional regulation skills.
We provide therapy to all kids. We are a private clinic and provide clinic-based therapy across three clinic locations, in Success, Baldivis and Shenton Park as well as in a limited capacity in the community. We are a vibrant, fun team and love providing amazing, interventions to our families! We have beautiful,
modern offices filled with amazing resources! We are also NDIS registered.

About the role
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to deliver OT interventions! This will involve specialised assessment and therapy services to children with a variety of needs, including physical, developmental, and sensory challenges. As we work towards further integrating occupational therapy within our practice, you will take on responsibilities seeing clients, supporting the broader speech pathology team and ensuring high standards of care for our clients.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, collaborative goal setting and evidence-based therapy interventions that support children’s independence, development, and overall well-being.
- Provide families and key stakeholders with parent coaching strategies that encourages the therapy to go beyond the therapy room.
- Complete progress notes, reports and referrals as required.
- Support speech therapy team members and work collaboratively with them, fostering combined professional growth and clinical skills.
- Engage in supervision, team meetings,
strategic planning days and continued professional development to stay up-to-date with advancements in paediatric therapy practices.
- Be a part of a multidisciplinary team to share expertise.
Skills and experience
- Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Experience in working with children with a variety of conditions, including developmental delay, autism, sensory processing disorders, and physical disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and support families and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
