About the venture First or Nothing is one of Australia's fastest-growing health brands. We are now building our boldest chapter yet: a new medical company created to change how weight and metabolic health are treated in this country. This is medicine built properly. Doctor-led, evidence-first, and designed to set a standard the category has been missing. We are backed by a brand with real audience and real reach, and we are partnering with a leading Australian university to run a clinical trial and outcome registry, because we intend to prove our results, not just market them. You will define the clinical foundation of the company, not inherit one. The role As Medical Director, you are the clinical authority of the company. You own every clinical decision and every clinical standard. We build the brand, the operations and the technology around you, and your clinical judgment stays independent at all times. You will design the standard of care, build and lead the GP panel, author the protocols every patient follows, and be the clinical voice to AHPRA, the TGA and our pharmacy partners. What you will do

- Own clinical governance as our lead responsible practitioner, accountable for the standard of care across the service
- Author and maintain our clinical protocols: patient eligibility, GLP-1 titration, side effect and management, escalation pathways and the maintenance program
- Recruit, train, credential, supervise and audit a panel of 3 to 5 contractor GPs
- Set the eligibility and safety threshold and uphold it. You and your panel decide clinical suitability, without exception




- Define and maintain our real-time telehealth consultation standard
- Lead our engagement with AHPRA and the TGA, and keep the service compliant alongside our legal counsel
- Provide clinical oversight of dispensing with our pharmacy partner
- Oversee adverse event management, complaints handling and clinical audit
- Partner with a leading Australian university on the clinical trial and outcome registry, and help build the evidence base that defines the category Who you are

- AHPRA-registered, with FRACGP or FACRRM, or registration as an endocrinologist
- Genuine depth in obesity medicine, metabolic health and GLP-1 prescribing
- Experienced and confident practising via telehealth and remote assessment
- A clean regulatory record and current qualified indemnity cover
- Clinical governance or medical director experience strongly regarded
- Commercially aware, clinically uncompromising, and comfortable saying no
- A builder who wants to shape a company from its foundation and put their name to something that matters The engagement This is a part-time founding appointment, roughly half a week to start, with scope to grow as the company scales. You will be paid a competitive hourly sessional rate matched to your experience, with a genuine equity opportunity as the founding clinical leader.
