Overview :
At All Ranks, we provide event production and support services, including project management, skilled labour, site management and construction for corporate events, sporting competitions, festivals and other large-scale events. We deliver high-quality and efficient onsite solutions tailored to our clients’ requirements. We are currently seeking a self-motivated Painter to join our team. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint, primers, sealers and other finishes to achieve high-quality finishes across a range of surfaces and environments. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Sydney, NSW.
Main Tasks
- Inspect and prepare surfaces by filling cracks, holes and gaps, sanding, and smoothing imperfections.
- Apply primers, sealers, paints, varnishes, and topcoats using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
- Perform masking, taping and cutting-in to achieve clean and exact finishes.
- Apply paint to walls, ceilings and other large surfaces using rollers.
- Select and prepare paints, coatings and other materials as required.
- Clean and maintain painting tools, equipment and work areas.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.
- Dispose of paint,
solvents and hazardous materials in accordance with safety and environmental requirements.
- Work effectively with supervisors and onsite crew to complete painting works within required timeframes.
Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience
- Relevant Certificate III in Painting and Decorating;
- At least 1 year of relevant experience within the last 5 years, preferably in event production OR a minimum 3 years' experience may substitute the relevant Certificate III.
Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge
- Proven experience as a Painter, with expertise in the above-mentioned tasks.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques and surface preparation.
- Ability to work with various painting tools and equipment (e.g., spray guns, brushes, rollers, sanders).
- Attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
- Physical stamina to stand, climb, and work in various environments for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Annual salary will be between $78,000.00 to $84,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
