Bundeena Maianbar Preschool is a community focused, one-unit preschool committed to play-based learning, meaningful relationships, inclusion and high-quality early childhood education.

We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Teacher and Preschool Director to lead our service in an off-the-floor leadership role.
About the role
The Director will oversee the day-to-day leadership, management, compliance and ongoing development of the preschool, working closely with our experienced team and Management Committee.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting the educator team and fostering a positive workplace culture
- Building strong relationships with children, families and the community
- Overseeing compliance with the NQF, National Law and Regulations and Department of Education requirements
- Leading the QIP and continuous improvement
- Maintaining our high standards and supporting future Assessment and Rating
- Overseeing child safety, risk management, policies and procedures
- Working collaboratively with the Management Committee on governance and service operations
- Ensuring the safety, wellbeing, rights and best interests of every child remain central to decision-making
This is an off-the-floor position, allowing the successful applicant to focus on leadership, compliance, staff support, relationships and the ongoing development of the service.
The role also includes paid school holiday stand-down periods.
- Bachelor-level Early Childhood Teacher qualification recognised by the relevant regulatory authority
- Eligibility to work as an Early Childhood Teacher (ECT)
- Ability and willingness to undertake the responsibilities of Nominated Supervisor and Responsible Person
- Approved Child Protection and Child Safety Training
- Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualifications
- Current Working with Children Check
- National Police Check
- Strong knowledge of the NQF, NQS, EYLF, National Law and Regulations
- Demonstrated leadership experience in early childhood
- Strong communication, organisational and team leadership skills
- Commitment to child safety, inclusion and children's rights
- NESA proficient teacher accreditation, where applicable
