The Role
Due to fast paced growth, Brennan's Cybersecurity practice is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join our Secure Networking team in Adelaide.
This is a technical role that delivers a range of network and cybersecurity services to the market in a project-based delivery methodology.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in customer workshops to capture requirements for solution development.
- Assist in system discovery and analysis to drive solution development and delivery.
- Prepare first-draft design documents under the guidance of the Senior team.
- Develop documentation artefacts to describe technical solutions, configurations, and procedures.
- Execute system changes, upgrades, and implementations.
- Utilise scripting and automation where applicable.
Key Skills:
- Clear and concise communication
- Attention to detail with the ability to discern checkbox compliance from security control intent and efficacy
- A strong understanding of network and network security technologies such as:
- Wired and Wi-Fi Networking, Next-Generation Firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN and SASE technologies
- NAC and network authentication, Data Centre network virtualisation technologies
- Understanding of Microsoft and VMWare platforms (e.g., Active Directory / Entra ID, VMware ESXi, NSX)
- Public cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI)
- Security concepts and frameworks (e.g., Essential 8 and ISM initiatives, network segmentation)
