International Windows is a Melbourne based business specialising in custom aluminium windows and doors for residential and commercial projects.

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join our team in Campbellfield and take responsibility for the day to day operation of our production workshop.

This is a hands on management role for someone who understands manufacturing, can organise people and materials effectively, and takes pride in delivering quality products on time.

What you will be doing

1. Plan and coordinate daily and weekly production schedules based on customer orders and project deadlines
2. Oversee the manufacturing and assembly of aluminium windows, doors, frames and related products
3. Coordinate cutting, fabrication, assembly, glazing and finishing activities within the workshop
4. Allocate work to production staff and monitor productivity and performance
5. Make sure materials, aluminium profiles, glass, hardware and other components are available when required
6. Monitor production output, lead times, material usage and production costs
7. Maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing process and resolve production or quality issues
8. Coordinate the use, maintenance and secure operation of workshop machinery and equipment
9. Work closely with suppliers, installers, sales staff and management to keep projects running smoothly
10. Maintain production records and provide regular updates to management
11. Identify ways to improve production efficiency, reduce waste and improve workflow

Ensure workplace health and safety procedures are followed across the production area

About you

We are looking for someone who has:

1. Relevant qualification in manufacturing, engineering, production, operations management or a related field
2. Relevant experience in production or manufacturing management
3. Experience in aluminium windows and doors, building products, metal fabrication, glazing or a similar manufacturing environment would be highly regarded
4. Good understanding of production planning, quality control and workshop operations
5. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and support a production team
6. Good organisational and problem solving skills
7. Ability to manage multiple jobs and deadlines at the same time
8. Good communication skills and ability to work with different teams, suppliers and customers
9. Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
10. Basic computer skills and confidence working with production records, schedules and reports
11. Current Australian driver licence is preferred
