Our client in Melbourne is looking for Technical Lead – GE DERMS this is a Contract 12 + Months role.
The GE DERMS Technical Lead is responsible for leading the design, development, integration, and implementation of GE’s Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS). This role ensures the successful delivery of DERMS solutions that help utilities manage distributed energy resources such as solar, wind, battery storage, and EVs.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership
- Lead the end-to-end technical delivery of GE DERMS implementations
- Provide architectural guidance and technical solutions
- Solution Design & Implementation
- Design DERMS solutions aligned with grid operations and business requirements
- Configure and customize GE DERMS platform
- System Integration
- Integrate DERMS with utility systems such as:
- SCADA
- ADMS/EMS
- OMS (Outage Management System)
- AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure)
- Enable monitoring and control of distributed energy resources (DERs)
- Support grid optimization, load balancing, and demand response programs
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work with business teams, utilities, vendors, and GE stakeholders
- Translate business requirements into technical designs
- Performance & Troubleshooting
- Ensure system performance, scalability, and reliability
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide resolution
- Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to industry standards (IEEE, NERC, IEC, etc.)
- Maintain cybersecurity and regulatory compliance
- Guide and mentor developers and engineers
- Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices
