Lead one of North Sydney’s fastest-growing sports pubs.

Billy Barry’s Hotel has entered an exciting current chapter. Since joining Welcome Hospitality in August 2025, the venue has undergone significant investment and transformation, establishing itself as one of North Sydney’s premier destinations for live sport, great food, cold beer and entertainment.

We’re now looking for an energetic, commercially minded hospitality leader to continue driving that momentum. This isn’t your traditional gaming-led pub management role. While Billy Barry’s has a successful gaming and TAB offering on its own dedicated level, our next General Manager will be focused on growing the venue’s food, beverage and community presence.

What you’ll be doing

- Driving food and beverage growth across the venue.
- Building relationships with local businesses, corporate groups, sporting clubs and community organisations.
- Creating reasons for people to choose Billy Barry’s as their local.
- Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing front-of-house team.
- Delivering exceptional guest experiences every day.
- Working closely with senior leadership to continue the venue’s exciting growth journey.
- Managing day-to-day operations while identifying new commercial opportunities.

About you





You may already be a General Manager, or you could be a high-performing Assistant Manager, Venue Manager or Operations Manager ready for your next step. More importantly, you’ll bring:

- A proven ability to grow food and beverage sales.
- Strong operational leadership and people management skills.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience.
- Confidence building relationships within the local business and sporting community.
- Commercial awareness and an ability to identify opportunities to grow revenue.
- Energy, initiative and a hands-on leadership style.
- Gaming experience is beneficial but not the primary focus of this role.
