One-off corporate volunteering opportunity
Please arrive at 9:30am. Activity runs till 3.30pm unless you have organised a half day volunteering experience. For a full typical schedule - please revert to your team leader organising the activity.
Limited onsite parking (please consider car-pooling, there is some free offsite parking a short walk away).
Location: Retail Distribution Centre, 89 Derrimut Road, Derrimut 3026
On-site induction to be completed – Duration approx. 15 minutes and Hi-vis vest will be provided.
Optional - please help us to fill in the image release form on the day. This enables us to use pictures of your experience to grow our volunteer base and report back to your company on your time at DC.

The Chance
Our Distribution Centre located in Derrimut is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist with sorting and tagging donations. With this volunteer day you'll get the opportunity to:

Assist with sorting, tagging and packing both new and preloved donated goods according to set standards & store requirements




Help assess the quality and suitability of donated merchandise, and address any quality issues
Team build with your colleagues and contribute your skills to help us raise money for those in need
No experience is necessary
Training and onsite induction provided

Accessibility, Clothing and Food

Please note that Public Transport is very limited around Derrimut.

We do not recommend this activity for those with severe asthma or dust allergies.
Flat, fully closed in shoes are a requirement to be onsite.
Comfortable clothing is recommended as guests will be standing for long periods throughout the day. On hot days, it can get quite warm in the warehouse.

We have 2 small tearooms for water, tea and coffee, fridge, microwave etc, so your team are welcome to bring lunch if they would like.
There are limited cafes that are a short drive away, for convenience, we would like to suggest you consider catering. You are welcome to use any catering service of course; however we are happy to recommend our local cafe Salt & Pepper House who regularly cater for corporate groups at our facility.
