About the Role
Based in their Caringbah Toolroom, you'll be responsible for maintaining and restoring extrusion tooling and injection moulds to the highest standard, ensuring maximum production efficiency and quality.
Duties include:
- Servicing and maintaining extrusion tooling and injection moulds
- Dismantling, repairing and rebuilding extrusion equipment
- Operating lathes, polishing equipment and precision toolroom machinery
- Using power and hand tools to restore critical components
- Working with overhead cranes and lifting equipment
- Diagnosing tooling issues and implementing effective repairs
- Maintaining high quality and WHS standards
About You
You will have:
- Trade qualification as a Toolmaker, Mechanical Fitter or equivalent engineering trade
- Minimum 2 years' experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience operating lathes and other toolroom machinery
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Experience with hand tools and precision measuring equipment
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
Experience with plastics extrusion or injection moulding will be highly regarded but is not essential.
