Construction Electrician – FIFO Karratha | 19:8 Roster

We are currently seeking experienced Construction Electricians for a major Heavy Industry construction project in Karratha, WA. This role will see you working on electrical construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning works within a Mining, Oil & Gas or Process Plant environment.

Project Details

- Location: Karratha, WA
- FIFO from Perth
- 19 days on, 8 days off roster
- Approx. 188 hours per swing (70 hours per week)
- Immediate start
- 6+ month duration
- Earn up to $15,300 per swing

Your Responsibilities
- Large-scale HV & LV cable pulls using winches and pulley systems.
- Installation of cable tray, cable ladder, conduit and cable support systems.
- Glanding and termination of power, control and instrumentation cables.
- Installation and termination of switchboards, substations, switchrooms, motors and associated electrical equipment.
- EEHA installations including barrier and potted glands.
- Installation of earthing systems,



industrial lighting and small power.
- Support pre-commissioning, energisation and commissioning activities.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, cable schedules and single line diagrams.

About You
- Minimum 3 years post-apprenticeship Heavy Industry electrical construction experience.
- Previous experience working on Mining, Oil & Gas or Process Plant construction projects.
- Experience working FIFO or within remote site environments.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Requirements:

- Current WA Electrical Licence
- Australian Electrical Trade Certificate
- Australian Working Rights
- White Card
- Working at Heights (within 2 years)
- Confined Space Entry
- EWP Ticket or High Risk Work Licence
- Current CPR & LVR
- EEHA qualification and experience
- Certificate IV in Instrumentation
- Barrier and potted gland experience
- Switchboard and substation experience
