Intermediate/Senior Accountant | Business Services & Tax
$60,000–$110,000 package including superannuation

About the firm
Our client is an established Perth public practice accounting firm led by four Partners and supported by a team of 13 accountants.

The firm is large enough to offer strong systems, technical support and career development, while remaining small enough for staff to work closely with the Partners and have genuine visibility across the client base.

The team provides business services, taxation, advisory and SMSF services to a diverse portfolio of privately owned businesses, family groups and individuals. SMSF work is completed in-house by a dedicated specialist using BGL.

The firm has a strong client-focused culture, with accountants encouraged to communicate directly with clients and attend meetings as their experience develops.

Depending on your experience, you will:

- Prepare financial statements and income tax returns
- Complete tax compliance work for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
- Assist with tax planning and advisory matters
- Communicate directly with clients
- Attend client meetings
- Liaise with the ATO and external organisations
- Use Xero and cloud-based accounting systems
- Support junior accountants at Senior level

The firm also manages SMSF work internally through a dedicated specialist using BGL.

About you

Please note:



Applicants must currently reside in Australia and have relevant Australian public practice accounting experience.

Intermediate Accountant

- Approximately 1–3 years’ Australian public practice experience
- Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns
- Strong communication skills and an interest in becoming more client-facing
- CA or CPA studies commenced or planned

Senior Accountant

- At least 3 years’ Australian public practice experience
- Strong Business Services and Tax experience
- Confidence managing client communication and workflow
- Ability to review or support junior accountants
- CA or CPA qualified, or nearing completion
