About the Role:

We are seeking Paediatric Registrars/SRMOs for locum placements at a busy regional referral hospital on the NSW Mid North Coast. This contract runs from 30 July 2026 to 3 February 2027, offering a competitive hourly rate with travel and accommodation covered. You will join a well-supported paediatric service delivering a broad scope of practice across inpatient paediatrics, neonatal care, emergency consultations and outpatient medicine all in one of Australia's most desirable coastal locations.

- Manage acute paediatric medical admissions across an approximately 12-bed children's ward
- Attend high-risk deliveries and provide neonatal resuscitation
- Manage infants within a Level 3 Special Care Nursery, including feeding issues, jaundice, neonatal infection assessment and respiratory support
- Stabilise critically ill neonates and children prior to transfer via state retrieval services
- Provide paediatric assessment and management for children presenting to the Emergency Department
- Support outpatient clinics across general and developmental paediatrics
- Work under consultant supervision within a supportive multidisciplinary team

About You:

- AHPRA registered Medical Practitioner
- Currently practising at Registrar or SRMO level in Paediatrics
- Confident in neonatal resuscitation and special care nursery management
- Comfortable managing a broad general paediatric caseload
- Works effectively both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
- Eligible to work in Australia
