ARG Workforce are seeking a qualified and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on role involves the fabrication, assembly, installation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and components to support our production operations.
Working within a collaborative team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining a solid focus on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Fabricate, assemble, fit, and install mechanical equipment and components.
- Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment safely.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and company procedures.
- Contribute to a safe, clean, and organised workplace.
- Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to minimise downtime.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent.
- Experience in fabrication and mechanical fitting within a manufacturing environment.
- Welding experience is highly desired.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Current driver's licence
- Current forklift, Dogging, Working at Heights and EWP tickets.
