IEPro are working with a well-established civil and marine contractor to recruit an experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of marine and infrastructure projects across Queensland.
This chance sits within a contractor known for delivering specialist marine construction, coastal infrastructure, bridge, wharf, piling, and associated civil works. With a strong pipeline of secured projects, the business is seeking an engineer who enjoys technically challenging work and wants to broaden their experience across both marine and civil infrastructure sectors.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced project teams while taking ownership of key engineering and delivery responsibilities.
The Opportunity
As Project Engineer, you will support the successful planning and delivery of marine and civil infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, quality, programme, and commercial objectives are achieved.
Working alongside Project Managers and site teams, you will coordinate engineering activities, manage subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently from commencement through to completion.
The Role
In this role, you will:
- Support delivery of marine and civil infrastructure projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site activities
- Review drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies
- Prepare RFIs, ITPs, lookaheads, and engineering documentation
- Monitor project progress against programme and budget
- Assist with procurement, forecasting, and cost control
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements
- Build strong relationships with clients,
consultants, and stakeholders
- Support Project Managers to achieve successful project outcomes
About You
To succeed, you will bring:
- Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Previous experience as a Project Engineer within civil or marine construction
- Experience delivering infrastructure projects in Australia
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project planning
- Commercial awareness including forecasting and cost control
- Ability to coordinate subcontractors and multiple work fronts
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach to project delivery
Experience with marine structures, wharf construction, piling, coastal infrastructure, or bridge projects will be highly regarded.
