Sante Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a major regional Victorian health service for a Consultant Geriatrician to join a progressive and expanding Geriatric Medicine department.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing specialist Geriatric Medicine services across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Managing patients in acute, subacute, community and residential aged care environments
- Participating in Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) services
- Supporting Acute Care of the Elderly (ACE) initiatives and geriatric consultation services
- Contributing to the Hospital Elder Life Program (HELP)
- Delivering outreach services to residential aged care facilities
- Supervising and mentoring physician trainees and junior medical staff
- Participating in service development, quality improvement and multidisciplinary education
- Helping develop innovative models of care for older patients

- 34-bed Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) Unit
- Cognitive Dementia and Memory Service (CDAMS)

- Acute Geriatric Consultation Service
- Hospital Elder Life Program (HELP)




- Expanding Acute Care of the Elderly (ACE) service

Requirements Applications are welcomed from:

- Specialists holding FRACP in Geriatric Medicine with Specialist Registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA
- RACP Advanced Trainees completing Geriatric Medicine Fellowship in 2026 or early 2027
- International Medical Graduates with a confirmed RACP Specialist Pathway interview date
- International Medical Graduates assessed by the RACP as Substantially Comparable
- UK CCT holders in Geriatric Medicine
- New Zealand-trained Geriatricians
- Sri Lankan Consultant Geriatricians with Australian or UK clinical experience
