About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Dental Receptionist/Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis at our Eglinton practice located in WA 6034. This is a key position that bridges our front-of-house and clinical operations, requiring someone who can manage administrative duties whilst supporting our dental clinical team. You will play a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and contributing to an excellent patient experience from the moment they walk through our doors.
Key responsibilities
Managing patient appointments and scheduling, including handling telephone enquiries and booking consultations
Welcoming patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression
Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records and dental files
Processing patient payments and managing billing inquiries
Assisting the dental team chair-side during procedures as required
Sterilising and preparing dental instruments and treatment areas
Taking and processing dental radiographs (X-rays)
Providing patients with post-operative care instructions and appointment reminders
Managing front desk operations, including managing calls,
correspondence and general administrative tasks
Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic work environment in accordance with dental practice standards
Supporting inventory management and ordering dental supplies
What we're looking for
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
Proficiency with computer systems and practice management software
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Flexibility and willingness to support both reception and clinical duties
Customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
Knowledge of dental terminology and dental procedures (desirable but not essential)
Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations
Team player with a positive attitude and genuine passion for patient care
