The Company
This highly respected, market leading Wholesale/Distribution business has a long and proud history of being a market leader in their chosen field. Based in the Southeast suburbs of Melbourne, this business has been experiencing double digit growth over the last 2-3 years.
The role
Reporting to the AP Manager, in this 6 + months full time temp role (with genuine view to permanency) you will become part of a close knit, high performing full function AP team. This busy and all-encompassing end to end AP role will require you to process payments, process invoices (3-way match) within a number of entities within the business. The role will initially be office based in training phase to set you up for success, then after will offer hybrid 3 days in office and 2 days at home. To be considered for this role, you will need to commit to this role for a minimum of 12 + months.
Your primary duties will comprise of:
Duties
- Matching, batching and coding invoices to Purchase Orders (3-way match high volume)
- Manually Coding invoices to General Ledger
- Managing payment runs
- Managing AP queries
- Monitoring the AP inbox
- Schedule pay runs based on standard company payment terms
- Vendor maintenance on the system
- Perform reconciliations including supplier statement reconciliations, credit card reconciliations and more
- Report on Aged Payables plus other ad hoc reporting where applicable
- Other ad-hoc duties as required by AP Team Leader
Skills & experience
You will be passionate about full function AP and obtain around minimum 3 + years full function experience, preferably from manually based, high volume and deadline driven environments. The successful candidate will ideally have had experience working for large companies across multiple ERP systems and entities, and obtain the following attributes:
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work quickly and accurately to deadlines
- Hard working team player
- Systems savvy
- Good working knowledge of Excel and experience in using a large ERP System (ie SAP, Dynamix, Oracle, JD Edwards etc)
