About the Company
Our client is a well-established, National, Australian-owned organisation with a solid reputation and a collaborative team culture. Due to internal movement, they are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their large payroll function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced & high-volume payroll environment, is naturally analytical and enjoys problem-solving. You'll be joining a team that values initiative, continuous improvement and professional development.
The Role
Working as part of a collaborative payroll team, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll while supporting employees and internal stakeholders across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end payroll processing across a high-volume, multi-site workforce
- Managing employee commencements, terminations and payroll chang
- Exposure to a diverse employee workforce interpreting up-to-date awards and enterprise agreements
- Processing payroll adjustments, leave payments and reconciliations
- Responding to payroll queries and resolving discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate employee and payroll records
- Assisting with payroll reporting and compliance requirements
- Supporting payroll system enhancements and process improvements
- Liaising with stakeholders across HR, Finance and Operations
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 3+ years of end-to-end payroll experience in a high-volume and fast-paced workplace
- Previous payroll experience in a multi-site environment would be highly regarded
- Must have previous experience interpreting awards and / or EBA’s
- Must have previous experience using complex Payroll systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- A collaborative approach and solid customer service mindset
