Position Summary

The Textile & Print Production Specialist is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining printing and garment decoration machinery. The role requires demonstrated technical expertise in Textile & Print Production, Heat Press operations along with Embroidery design and production, ensuring finished products meet job specifications, quality standards, and production timelines.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The role includes but is not limited to:

• Create Textile & Print artwork files for DTF films, transfers and materials.

• Perform Quality control on all print files ensuring accurate CMYK compliance

• Operate various heat press machines for apparel and caps, vinyl cutter, DTF, embroidery, and other print-production equipment.

• Manage production workflow and ensure on-time completion of customer orders.

• Maintain equipment, troubleshoot production issues, and implement efficient workflow practices.

• Operate our Wilcom embroidery software for the design and tailoring of client logos

• Operate and maintain our textile & embroidery machines.

• Keep the production area organised, safe, and well-maintained.

• Liaise with the customer service team regarding job requirements and deadlines.

• Demonstrating strong customer service skills to accept client briefs and effectively communicate the best practice solution.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Min 3 years’ experience in a commercial textile,



printing or garment decoration environment.

• Experience in the preparation of print files for DTF Printing with a specific understanding of Corel Draw/Adobe Illustrator.

• Demonstrated experience operating commercial heat press machinery.

• Experience with Vinyl cutting machinery for printed vinyl applications.

• Proven experience with textile & embroidery machinery used in commercial production.

• Understanding of production processes, machine operation, and material handling.

• Ability to work to technical specifications and quality standards.

Desirable

• Trade qualification or relevant vocational training in printing, textile production, or garment decoration.

• Experience with textile & embroidery digitising software (e.g. Wilcom).

• Familiarity with vinyl cutting systems and transfer preparation.

• Experience producing branded apparel, uniforms, and or promotional products.

• Experience with the Hoops CRM software.

• Intricate knowledge of the different fabrics unforms are constructed with.
