Custom Construction (W.A.) Pty Ltd is an established construction business based in

Western Australia, delivering quality construction services across a range of

residential and commercial building projects. Due to continued growth and increasing

project requirements, the business is seeking an experienced and skilled Carpenter

to join its team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a broad range of

carpentry works, including constructing, installing, repairing and maintaining timber

structures and fixtures in accordance with construction plans and specifications. The

role requires strong trade skills, attention to detail and the ability to work safely and

efficiently in a construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications to

determine work requirements;

• Measure, mark, cut, shape and assemble timber, wood-based products and

other building materials;

• Construct, install and repair structural frameworks, walls, floors, roofs,

partitions, doors, windows and other timber fixtures;

• Install cladding, flooring, skirting, architraves, doors, windows and other

building components as required;





• Construct and install temporary structures and formwork where required for

construction projects;

• Carry out alterations, repairs and maintenance to timber structures and

fittings;

• Operate hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery safely and

efficiently;

• Ensure all carpentry work is completed in accordance with project

specifications, Australian Standards and workplace safety requirements;

• Work collaboratively with supervisors, builders and other construction trades

to achieve project outcomes;

• Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 12 months' relevant experience as a Carpenter or in a similar

construction role;

• Relevant trade qualification in Carpentry or equivalent industry experience;

• Demonstrated experience in residential and/or commercial construction;

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications;

• Valuable knowledge of carpentry techniques, construction materials and building

practices;

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship;

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;

• White Card (Construction Induction) or willingness to obtain.
