An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Operations Manager to take a key leadership role within a large, high-profile retail asset in the Northern Territory.
This position has broad responsibility for the operational performance of the asset, encompassing building services, maintenance, capital works, contractor management, safety, compliance, risk, sustainability and financial performance.
You will work as part of the senior in office management team and provide leadership across the operational function, ensuring the asset is safe, efficient, compliant and continually improving.
What you'll be doingLead the overall operational performance of a large-scale retail asset.Oversee building services, plant, maintenance and essential services.Lead and manage contractors, service providers and operational projects.Conduct regular asset inspections and proactively identify maintenance and operational priorities.Drive WHS, safety, risk and statutory compliance.Manage small to mid-sized capital projects and support the delivery of larger capital works.Manage operational expenditure, budgets, forecasting and capital planning.Oversee contractor performance, tender processes and contractual requirements.Support the operational delivery of new tenancies and asset improvements.Drive sustainability initiatives and identify opportunities to improve asset performance.Lead emergency,



crisis and risk management requirements.Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, service delivery and commercial outcomes.Participate in an operational management roster as required.
About youWe are looking for an experienced property operations professional who brings:A relevant tertiary or trade qualification.At least 5 years' relevant operational experience.Experience within retail property, commercial property, facilities, asset operations or another complex built environment.Strong knowledge of Building Codes, Australian Standards, WHS/OHS, essential services and statutory requirements.Demonstrated contractor and project management experience.Strong commercial acumen, including budgeting and forecasting experience.Strong problem-solving, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.The ability to manage multiple operational priorities and take ownership of outcomes.A proactive, solutions-focused and customer-oriented approach.
