About the role

As a member of the Front of House team, you will help create an experience that feels polished without being overly formal. You will welcome guests, guide them through the menu, share the stories behind our food and wine, and work closely with the kitchen and wider restaurant team.

Key responsibilities

- Welcoming and seating guests

- Providing attentive table service

- Explaining menus, ingredients and dietary options

- Taking food and beverage orders accurately

- Serving Tasmanian wine and other beverages

- Preparing the restaurant before service

- Processing payments and assisting with closing duties

- Maintaining a clean, organised and professional dining room

- Working closely with the kitchen throughout service

- Supporting functions, weddings and special events when required

About you

- Are warm, confident and comfortable speaking with guests

- Take pride in providing thoughtful, attentive service

- Work calmly and efficiently during busy services

- Communicate well and contribute positively to a team

- Are dependable, organised and willing to take responsibility

- Have an interest in Tasmanian food, wine and local producers

- Are available to work across lunch, dinner and weekend services

- Hold a current Tasmanian RSA, or can obtain one before commencing





- Previous restaurant or bar experience will be highly regarded

About us

WADE is a new restaurant at Wineglass Bay Estate, overlooking Moulting Lagoon in Coles Bay. Created by chef and owner Wade Fordham, WADE will celebrate Tasmania through seasonal, produce-led food and warm, knowledgeable service. Our menus will showcase sustainably sourced seafood, wild game, locally grown vegetables and produce from Tasmanian farmers, fishers and makers. Open-fire cooking will sit at the heart of the kitchen, while our Front of House team will bring the experience together through relaxed, professional and genuinely welcoming hospitality.
