The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting for a Parliamentary Service Level 5 Coordinator - Social Media and Digital within Parliamentary Engagement.

The Parliament Shop and E-commerce team is seeking a creative, digitally focused professional to support the growth of the Parliament Shop.

In this role, you will plan, coordinate and optimise digital marketing campaigns, create engaging content across a range of channels, and support audience engagement, brand awareness and sales outcomes.

You will produce high-quality digital assets including photography and video, write compelling copy for product listings, social media and email campaigns, and assist in implementing marketing strategies that connect audiences with the Parliament Shop’s unique products and stories.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have experience in digital marketing, e-commerce and content creation, with strong skills in writing, photography, video production and social media management.

You will maintain and optimise the Shopify platform, manage targeted EDM campaigns, monitor digital and e-commerce performance metrics, and use insights and data to improve customer experience and campaign effectiveness.

A willingness to work in the Parliament Shop on an ad-hoc basis as part of the retail team is essential, providing valuable insights into customer needs and supporting the delivery of an exceptional visitor experience.

A tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, digital media, design, or a related discipline is highly desirable,



or demonstrated equivalent qualified experience in digital content, ecommerce or marketing environments.

This role is part time, 22.5 hours per week. The days these hours are worked over may be negotiated with the successful candidate.

Eligibility

The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (Protected/Restricted) security clearance.
