St John of God Geraldton Hospital opened in 1992, our acute care facility provides comprehensive health care services in a relaxed and pleasant environment. We are now seeking experienced and self-motivated Anaesthetic Registered Nurses to join our supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary Perioperative team with our growing number of Surgical cases. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care in a protected, effective, and compassionate manner.
You will have the opportunity to be involved in all stages of the patient’s surgical journey, gaining valuable experience across the perioperative environment. An understanding of airway management, general and local anaesthetic procedures, sedations, regional anaesthetics and ALS skills will be essential for the role.
Availability to work 6–10-hour shift rosters, Monday to Friday will be required, depending on caseloads.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop skills in order to care for patients appropriate to level of competence.
- Deliver a high standard of patient care utilizing appropriate resources cost effectively.
- Adhere to and supports hospital policies, procedures and standards.
- Provide patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care through the continuum of care.
- Adhere to and supports Hospital Policies, Procedures and Standards.
- Demonstrate the ability to provide patient education.
The successful applicant will hold registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) with previous Anaesthetics experience working in a hospital or acute care environment. An understanding of airway management, general and local anaesthetic procedures, sedations, regional anaesthetics and ALS skills will be essential for the role.
You will demonstrate a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring a positive patient experience. With strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, you will work collaboratively and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, while embracing opportunities for ongoing learning, education, and professional development

We can offer you
- Salary:
$82,945 to $106,630 per annum, pro rata for part-time, plus 12% superannuation
- Permanent part-time position working 24 hours per week
- 6 to10 hour shifts across Monday to Friday depending on case loads
