About the role

Velocity Accommodation Group is looking for a passionate Chef to become part of the team at Velocity Motel & Bistro in Karratha. Working on a 2:1 roster with FIFO from Perth or live-in options available. All meals and accommodation are paid for whilst on site.

Key responsibilities

- Ensure productive food prep and meal services

- Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers and combi ovens

- Participate in the implementation and management of the Food Safety Program

- Clean, sanitise and maintain cooking utensils, equipment and food preparation areas

- Participate in regular stock take and inventory control activities

- Document cleaning schedules, incoming goods, food holding units and temperature probes

- Produce quality food and develop interesting and varied menus





- Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and company Directors to achieve company vision

About you

- Australian recognized Commercial Cookery qualification cert 3 minimum

- Minimum 1 years' experience in large commercial kitchens

- Sound knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation and statutory obligations

- Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work in a team

- Enthusiasm and commitment to high standards of customer service

- HACCP Level 2 certification (desirable)

- Food Safety Supervisor certification (desirable)
