12-month fixed-term employment contract
Hybrid working + annual performance bonus opportunity
Williams Creative Co is looking for an experienced Entertainment Specialist to join our award-winning team.
This is an opportunity for someone with established corporate events and live entertainment experience to work across some of Western Australia's most exciting events and entertainment projects, with some of the state’s best artists.
It's a fast-paced, creative industry where no two days are quite the same and we're looking for someone who has the experience, organisation and judgement to thrive in that environment.
ABOUT WILLIAMS CREATIVE CO.
Williams Creative Co is a Perth-based entertainment agency specialising in the curation, management and delivery of live entertainment for corporate events, major events, festivals and private functions. Our work ranges from booking bands, MCs, soloists and DJs through to creating specialty performances and bespoke entertainment concepts for large-scale productions, television broadcasts and community festivals. Our portfolio includes Telethon, WA Day, Crown Perth, major festivals and some of Western Australia's leading corporate and gala events, with Williams Creative Co recognised among Australia's leading entertainment agencies.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced industry professional to help manage our increasing volume of entertainment enquiries, bookings and projects.
THE ROLE
As Entertainment Specialist you will manage the lifecycle of entertainment bookings from initial enquiry through to event delivery and client follow-up.
You'll respond to incoming enquiries, speak directly with clients to understand their requirements, assist in developing entertainment recommendations, liaise with artists, prepare proposals and coordinate the information and logistics required to successfully deliver each booking.
You'll also build relationships with our artists and repeat corporate clients, becoming a trusted point of contact.
Initially, entertainment recommendations and larger opportunities will be developed collaboratively with our Creative Directors. As you become familiar with our artists, clients and approach, you'll take increasing ownership of bookings and client relationships.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Manage incoming enquiries and the active booking pipeline, ensuring prompt responses, follow-up and a high level of client service.
- Consult with clients to understand their event, audience, budget and entertainment requirements, and develop suitable recommendations.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of the Perth entertainment market, including artists, venues, suppliers and industry partners.
- Liaise with artists and representatives regarding availability, pricing, booking requirements and event information.
- Prepare proposals, quotes and entertainment recommendations, applying sound commercial judgement around fees, budgets and pricing.
- Manage booking administration and coordinate artist logistics, venue information, schedules, soundchecks and performance requirements so that artist are supported with everything they need.
- Liaise with venues, event organisers and production partners, while supporting the delivery of larger bespoke productions and major projects alongside our Creative Directors.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
This is not an entry-level role.
You'll bring demonstrated professional experience in corporate events and live entertainment. A strong working knowledge of the Perth corporate events and live entertainment landscape is essential, including familiarity with key venues, suppliers and local talent.
You'll have a practical understanding of live-event environments, including run sheets, venue layouts, artist requirements and general AV and production terminology...but don't worry, you don't need to be a technical producer or audio engineer - complex technical requirements will be overseen by our Creative Directors and specialist production partners. We simply need you to understand the environment, ask the right questions and recognise when something requires further technical input.
You'll Thrive Here If You
- LOVE music, entertainment and working with creative people.
- Have a genuine respect for the arts and entertainment industry, with a passion for creating exceptional experiences for audiences and positive, professional working environments for artists.
- Are highly organised and able to manage multiple enquiries and bookings at different stages simultaneously.
- Remain calm, considered and solutions-focused when priorities change or pressure increases.
- Understand the importance of prompt communication and following things through.
- Communicate confidently and professionally with corporate clients, artists, venues and suppliers.
- Have robust commercial judgement and understand how to balance client budgets with the right entertainment solution.
- Are proactive, dependable and comfortable taking increasing responsibility as you become familiar with the business.
A passion for entertainment is important, but equally important is being very good at managing the work behind it.
You will have access to confidential or commercially sensitive information relating to clients, commercial artists, pricing and productions. Professional discretion is essential.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
You'll know you're succeeding when enquiries are moving, clients feel looked after, proposals are thoughtful and commercially sound, artists are well briefed, documentation is accurate and bookings arrive at event day organised and ready to go.
Strong performance will also mean developing trusted relationships with clients and artists, maintaining a responsive and well-managed pipeline and contributing positively to the ongoing growth of Williams Creative Co.
