At PCH Civil, we’re proud to deliver Straight-Up Excellence across Western Australia’s civil, infrastructure and mining projects.
We are seeking a Junior Planner to join our Project Controls team in Perth. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging planning professional to develop practical experience across project scheduling, progress measurement, reporting and integrated project controls.
The successful candidate will support the development, maintenance and reporting of project programmes across concurrent projects, working closely with project managers, engineers, site supervisors, subcontractors and the broader commercial and finance teams.
What you will do
- Update Primavera P6 schedules with weekly progress information, including physical percentage complete, actual dates and other relevant project data.
- Prepare and distribute routine project progress and status reports.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of Power BI report packs and dashboards.
- Support Daily and Weekly Field Report data entry, checking and reconciliation.
- Collect progress information from site teams and follow up on outstanding or incomplete data.
- Check and validate project information across Primavera P6, Power BI and relevant business systems, including Acumatica or MYOB Advanced.
- Reconcile information between project reporting tools and identify discrepancies for review.
- Liaise with site personnel to clarify routine progress, productivity and reporting queries.
- Maintain milestone trackers, variation registers and other project controls records.
- Assist with the preparation of regular project reporting in accordance with established reporting cycles and deadlines.
- Provide general scheduling, data management and reporting support to the Project Planner and wider Project Controls team.
- Contribute to improving the accuracy, consistency and efficiency of project planning and reporting processes.
What you'll bring
- Previous experience, or relevant study, in project scheduling, project controls, construction, engineering, project administration or a related discipline.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to entering, checking and reconciling project information.
- Sound Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with spreadsheets, data and reports.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with site teams and office-based personnel.
- Positive organisational skills and the ability to manage routine reporting deadlines across multiple projects.
- A proactive approach to identifying incomplete information, discrepancies and routine reporting issues.
- The ability to work collaboratively and provide reliable support to the Project Planner and wider project teams.
- A willingness to learn project scheduling and reporting systems.
