The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Civil Design Engineer to join our Adelaide team. In this role, you will contribute to the design and documentation of civil infrastructure for commercial, industrial, residential development and infrastructure projects, from planning and approvals through to construction delivery.

Working within a close-knit, multidisciplinary team, you will apply your technical knowledge and civil design capability to deliver practical, accurate and high-quality project outcomes across a diverse range of projects.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Undertaking civil engineering design, drafting and documentation for commercial, industrial, residential development and infrastructure projects

- Preparing drawings, design reports and technical documentation for planning & building approvals, tender and construction

- Completing detailed design of car parks, roads, earthworks, stormwater drainage, pavements and associated civil infrastructure

- Producing stormwater management documentation, including SEDMPs and drainage designs

- Performing engineering calculations, modelling and technical reporting to support project delivery and approvals

- Assisting with project scoping, feasibility assessments, cost estimation and tender documentation





- Conducting site inspections to assess existing conditions, review design feasibility and support construction delivery

- Identifying and assisting with the resolution of design and construction issues

- Coordinating with engineers, architects, consultants, contractors, authorities and other stakeholders to achieve integrated project outcomes

- Participating in design reviews and project meetings, providing accurate and timely technical input

- Managing project documentation and drawing revisions within TMK’s document management systems

- Ensuring all work complies with relevant Australian Standards, Austroads guidelines, local authority requirements and TMK quality procedures

- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, knowledge sharing and team development

About You

You are a technically minded and detail-oriented Civil Engineer who enjoys combining engineering design with hands-on drafting and documentation work. You take pride in producing accurate, high-quality drawings and technical deliverables, while contributing collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project team.

You will bring:

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)

- 3+ years of experience in civil engineering design, drafting, and documentation

- Demonstrated experience working on projects within land development, commercial or infrastructure sectors

- Proficiency in civil design and drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, DRAINS and MUSIC

- Robust understanding of civil engineering principles, relevant Australian Standards,



Austroads guidelines and local authority design requirements

- Experience preparing technical drawings, reports and supporting engineering calculations

- Familiarity with planning approval processes and construction-phase support

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants and internal stakeholders

- Strong attention to detail, with sound problem-solving and analytical capability

- Well-organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently when required

- A collaborative and team-oriented approach to project delivery

- Progress towards, or current registration as, a Professional Engineer (CPEng) is desirable

- Based in Adelaide, or willing to relocate
