The Role

As an Environmental Advisor for Tungsten Mining’s Watershed Project, located 130km’s north of Cairns, you will be our “boots on the ground” expert and representative, supporting the practical implementation of environmental approvals, permits, management plans and controls across construction, exploration and operational activities. Additional key responsibilities will include the following.

- Provide day-to-day environmental advice and support to site personnel and contractors.

- Coordinate environmental monitoring, reporting and compliance activities.

- Support the implementation of environmental permits and Ground Disturbance Permits, including environmental controls, disturbance tracking and rehabilitation requirements

- Support environmental incident investigations and corrective actions.

- Prepare environmental procedures, standards and guidance documents.

- Maintain environmental records, registers and compliance evidence and provide site information to support environmental reporting and regulatory submissions.

- Engage with regulators, landholders, Traditional Owners and community stakeholders.

- Provide practical environmental advice to project and site teams.

About You

Working closely with project, operational and HSE teams, you will provide environmental leadership on site, helping ensure the Watershed Project is delivered responsibly and sustainably.





You will be comfortable working in a hands-on project setting and translating environmental requirements into practical controls that can be understood and implemented by operational and contractor teams. In addition, you will possess the following.

- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Natural Resources or related discipline.

- Sound knowledge of Australian environmental legislation, approval processes and regulatory frameworks relevant to mining and resources.

- Prior experience working in a construction, mining or drilling environment.

- Proven ability implementing environmental management plans, approval conditions, permits or company environmental procedures.

- Experience supporting ground disturbance, vegetation clearing, rehabilitation or similar field-based environmental activities.

- Confidence working independently in a site workplace while collaborating closely with a broader environmental team.

- Exposure to stakeholder engagement with regulators, landholders or communities.

- Proactive approach with a solution-focused mindset.

- Ability to balance compliance requirements with practical project and operational realities.

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective partnerships at all levels.
