Position Type: Permanent Full Time (9 day fortnight, 38 hours/week)

Salary Range: $106,100 - $120,326 per annum + super based on qualifications and skills

Location: Townsville

As Technical Officer Wastewater, you will play a key role in supporting the safe, efficient and compliant operation of Townsville City Council's wastewater treatment facilities. Reporting to the Senior Wastewater Engineer, you will provide specialist technical advice on treatment plant operations, analyse performance data, coordinate capital and maintenance projects, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across our wastewater network.

This is a diverse role that combines technical problem solving, project management, stakeholder engagement and environmental compliance to help ensure the delivery of essential services to our growing community.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Bring:

Certificate IV in Wastewater Treatment and a Diploma in Engineering, or equivalent experience.Demonstrated experience in wastewater treatment operations, monitoring and maintenance.Robust knowledge of biological and chemical wastewater treatment processes.Proven ability to interpret operational data and laboratory results to identify and implement improvements.Experience managing capital works, maintenance projects and contractor relationships.Sound understanding of relevant environmental, water and local government legislation.Strong communication,



negotiation and stakeholder management skills.Experience using SCADA systems and Microsoft Office applications.A current Queensland C Class Driver Licence.A commitment to workplace safety, environmental compliance and delivering excellent customer outcomes.
