We're Recruiting - Newcastle & Hunter





We're currently seeking Smart Metering Subcontractors based throughout the Newcastle & Hunter region.

If you're located in or around the Newcastle & Hunter region and are looking for consistent work with the support of an experienced operations team, we'd love to hear from you.

While our current focus is on growing our Newcastle & Hunter technician network, we continue to recruit across New South Wales as work volumes increase, including:

New South Wales

- Sydney Metro

- Newcastle & Hunter

- Capital Region

- New England

- Riverina

Additional regions may also become available as workload continues to grow.

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking reliable, qualified electricians who:

- Hold a current Electrical Licence

- Are safety focused

- Deliver quality workmanship

- Enjoy working independently

- Provide excellent customer service

Experienced Smart Meter Technicians are highly regarded.

Licensed electricians looking to transition into the smart metering industry are strongly encouraged to apply. TECA can provide support throughout the onboarding process to help you get started.

Minimum Requirements

Prior to commencing work you'll be required to provide:

- Current Australian Driver Licence

- Current Electrical Licence

- Construction White Card





- National Police Check (less than six months old)

- Asbestos Awareness Training

- CPR & Low Voltage Rescue

- Testing of Connections

- First Aid in an ESI Environment

- Interval Metering qualifications (171A, 60A, UEEEL0013, UEEEL0078 or equivalent)

- Network authorisations (preferred)

Applicants must also have:

- Registered Pty Ltd Company

- Appropriate insurances (including Workers Compensation where applicable)

- Reliable work vehicle

- Tools and PPE

Annual refresher training is required for CPR, LVR, Testing of Connections and First Aid in an ESI Environment.
