Role Purpose

The Compliance Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the compliance function for a non-bank lender, ensuring the business meets its obligations under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act, ASIC RG standards and relevant industry codes.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain the compliance framework, including policies, procedures and the compliance monitoring plan
- Provide compliance advice on lending products, credit assessment processes and responsible lending obligations
- Oversee breach and incident management, including root cause analysis and remediation tracking
- Manage regulatory relationships and reporting obligations to ASIC and relevant industry bodies
- Support product and process changes with compliance sign-off and regulatory impact assessment
- Deliver compliance training and awareness across the business
- Monitor regulatory change (NCCP, Design and Distribution Obligations, AFCA) and update frameworks accordingly
- Prepare compliance reporting for management and Board committees

Skills & Experience

- 4+ years' experience in a compliance role within non-bank lending, consumer credit or broader financial services




- Strong knowledge of the NCCP Act, responsible lending obligations and ASIC regulatory guides
- Experience managing breach registers, incident reporting and remediation
- Confident communicator, comfortable advising business and executive stakeholders
- Robust written skills for policy and Board-level reporting
- Relevant tertiary qualification (law, compliance or related field)

Desirable

- GRC certification (GAICD, ICA compliance qualification)
- Experience with Design and Distribution Obligations (DDO) implementation
- Background in mortgage, asset finance or personal lending products
- Exposure to AFCA disputes and EDR processes
