About The Role:

The Our Families Our Way Facilitator plays an important role in supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families involved with the Department of Child Safety. Working alongside OFOW Practitioners, the role provides administrative, practical and coordination support, including assisting with case management, meetings, reporting, family time and transport. The Facilitator builds strong relationships with families, community organisations and service providers while helping children stay connected to their family, culture, community and kin.





What you’ll bring:

You’ll bring experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, families and communities, with strong communication, relationship-building and administrative skills. You’ll be organised, reliable and confident managing competing priorities while working independently and as part of a team. You’ll demonstrate a strong commitment to child safety, confidentiality and culturally respectful practice.

- Valid Blue Card / Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain (mandatory)

- Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain (mandatory)

- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain (mandatory)

- Current Driver’s Licence (mandatory)

- Experience engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, families and communities

- Commitment to child safety, confidentiality, ethical and culturally respectful practice

- Robust communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skill
