About The Role

We are looking for an Interim Finance Manager to join us on an initial 6 month contract.



The Finance Manager plays a key role in supporting the strategic and operational success of the firm. This role is responsible for overseeing the firm’s financial management, operational efficiency, compliance and resourcing to enable Partners and client service teams to focus on delivering high-quality accounting, advisory, and audit services. The role acts as a central support function, ensuring the smooth running of internal operations, sound financial stewardship, and effective implementation of business processes and systems.

Responsibilities would include, but not limited to:

- Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the practice

- Prepare and manage a smooth and timely month-end close process

- Complete end to end responsibility of monthly reporting, including actual results, variation from budgets, full year forecast and KPI results

- Building and oversight of annual budget and forecast

- Preparation and monitoring of ongoing rolling cashflow forecast

- Commercial analysis of financial information

- Work closely with internal stakeholders on the execution of business planning, resourcing, and strategies

- Drive continuous improvement in systems, reporting, process,



and efficiency

- Ad hoc analysis and projects

- Training and development of the finance and admin team

- Responsibility for integrity of all financial data in the general ledger and supporting schedules

- Responsible for overseeing all service deliverables for the finance function including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

- Manage FBT obligations and compliance

- Manage GST compliance and submission of quarterly BAS

- Assist in the preparation of Financial Accounts for tax purposes with COO

What we are looking for

- Tertiary qualification in Business, Management, Finance, or related field

- Minimum 4 years’ experience in similar role within professional services

- CA/CPA qualifications

- Team player with a can-do attitude

- Strong experience in interpreting and presenting KPI reporting

- High attention to detail

- Ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels

- People leadership skills with interest in training and developing staff

- Can demonstrate initiative and passion for making a difference

- Advance Excel skills

- Xero skills preferred but not essential
