About the role

As an Anaesthetic Healthcare Practitioner (Technician) Graduate, you will assist anaesthetists in the safe delivery of anaesthetic care across elective and emergency procedures. You will play a vital role in preparing the anaesthetic environment, supporting patient safety, maintaining equipment, and contributing to exceptional clinical outcomes. Working under the guidance of senior clinicians and clinical educators, you will build your knowledge and confidence while providing skilled support in perioperative and procedural settings.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

- Participate in the surgical safety checklist (sign-in/time-out/sign-in) and take part in briefings/huddles to ensure team readiness and risk mitigation.
- Perform and document daily equipment and medication checks and availability.
- Contribute to the quality improvement of the workgroup by participating in team meetings, committees, working parties, research and evaluation activities.
- Maintain and perform contemporary anaesthetic practice by participating in continuing career development. Aspects of professional development include acquiring and maintaining knowledge and skills through active participation in conferences, seminars, workplace competencies and self-directed learning. It is a requirement for all Queensland Health employees to complete mandatory training.
- Demonstrate initiative and participate as an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team,



ensuring all patient needs are met.
